Why Second Chance Banking Makes Your Life Easier
If you’ve been put on the bank’s blacklist and cannot get an account anywhere, you probably feel like the financial world is against you. Fortunately, there are some solutions that are surprisingly easy that will solve your problems nearly instantly. These are called second chance bank accounts, and approve you without looking into your credit, Chexsystem, or any of your financial past. You might be thinking that this is too good to be true, but when you use your account responsibly they act just like one from a major bank. In this article, I want to show you how they can make your life a heck of a lot easier.
A second chance account works just like a regular one, except that you never deal with banks. Instead, you’ll be encouraged to sign up for direct deposit and online banking so that your interaction with the company is minimal. Second chance banks don’t have locations, instead they operate online and through affiliates in check cashing stores. In the case you need to deposit cash or a check that isn’t put in directly, you go to your local check cashing store and take care of it right there. Since your card will have a Visa or Mastercard logo, you’ll be able to get cash from any ATM (with a fee, of course).
The catch is that when used irresponsibly these accounts become extremely expensive. There are monthly fees like a regular bank, but should you overdraft your account or not have enough to cover your monthly fee you get dinged pretty hard. Staying responsible with a second chance account is just like with a regular bank, so those same rules apply.
Second chance banks know that you aren’t going to be a customer for long, and that’s good news for you. It’s best to keep this account for as long as you’re blacklisted from regular banks, and as soon as your name is cleared go get a normal account. This is just a pit stop in the road of financial life, and a very easy pit stop at that!
